About

Quiet Souls Events and Education strives to bring immersive cultural experiences to schools, libraries, colleges, and other venues interested in learning about native cultures. Our presentations include singing, dancing, storytelling, crafts, food, gardening, and history. The organization has been active for several years, advancing its mission to share native culture throughout the area. It began as a small store in Freeport, IL, in 2022, and has since become a nonprofit organization that hosts many Native American events throughout the year. The store has since closed, but the dream lives on through the non-profit.

Kim Sigafus, CEO of Quiet Souls Events and Education, is a prolific writer and speaker who has authored twenty books as of 2025 across several genres on Native culture. She started presenting in 2010 and has spoken at hundreds of venues, including universities, libraries, museums, and schools throughout the Midwest. She, along with the Board, represents several native nations, including the Cherokee and Ojibwa. For more information about her, please visit kimberlysigafus.com.
